I hear the complaint way too often about people not being able to fall asleep at night. This insomnia leaves them cloudy headed, irritable, and with a host of other health ailments. Not only is it pertinent to get enough sleep to stay healthy, but it’s also pertinent to try and find the cause of what is keeping you awake.
The most common culprits are caffeine, stress, and anxiety. Of course there are health conditions that cause insomnia, mainly neurological health conditions.
One of the remedies I tell my clients to start off with, that help many of them is warm milk & nutmeg. Whatever your milk preference is, be it almond, soy, rice, or cow’s milk, they all can work for this recipe. Warm it up until it is warm, but not hot. Careful! You don’t want to burn yourself.
When the milk is warmed up, sprinkle in some nutmeg powder. You can stir it up, or you can let it sit on top. Whichever tastes better to you is what you can do here.
That’s it! It’s just that easy! Once you drink the milk, you should start feeling your body relaxing in about 15-20 mins. This is one of the most natural methods to beat insomnia.
